Board of Directors

Pink Initiative is governed by a board of directors passionate about seeing a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime. Meet our board:

Emilie Sommer, Founder and President

Emilie Sommer is the owner and president of emilie inc. photography, a boutique New England wedding photojournalism studio, and was previously a photographer and photo editor at USA Today and the Washington Post. She loves big, laughs hard, and pushes the envelope whenever possible.

Megan Clouse, Secretary

Megan Clouse is a California-based photographer as well as a recent breast cancer conqueror who has been cancer free since January 2009 (was age 37). Her new perspective on life has broadened her personal interests and given her a more profound sense of making the most of each day.

Kelsie Guerriero, Public Relations Director

As Assistant Director of Development Marketing at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Kelsie brings her passion for healthy living and the eradication of cancer to work with her every day. Although she enjoys traveling – especially to culinary hot spots – Kelsie is a true New England girl and loves spending days at the beach and on the boat with her family.

Mia Toro, Social Media Director

After a 3-year stint in Career Services at Harvard Business School, Mia has relocated to Maine and is now at promotional marketing agency, Dogs At Work.  She may be a southern gal at heart, but Mia loves to ‘shred pow’ and enjoys taking full advantage of the gorgeous landscape that surrounds her.

J Sandifer, Web Director

J Sandifer is the owner of Tide Creative, a marketing and public relations firm in Portland, Maine, and is also a wedding photographer. He enjoys consulting business owners and organizations, and spending time outdoors exploring New England’s coastline and mountains.
